A few years ago I would have agreed with Happy on running a dedicated snow tire, Nokian, package as I have done this in the past with other vehicles. Currently have a set of 17" VRock rims on the H3, so a set of free aluminum 16" Pathfinder rims will fit nicely on the Hummer. You can't beat a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitas in winter, or can you? Tire technology is growing by leaps a bounds. From my research so far the DuraTraks are great for winter tires and may be comparable to the Haks. It was going to be hard for me to get the Goodyears since their reputation around here was bad. Goodyear tires are only good for a year, then they're garbage. Then again Michelins had great tires not too long ago, now they too are not very good IMHO. Probably ordering the DuraTraks next week.

 

I've had the Duratrac 305/70-16's for a couple years now and love them. They look and run great. I was really disappointed that they discontinued them in that size.
