I always LOVE shopping for vehicles!!

I don't dress/look like I can afford much(wife bugs me about that all the time)!!

Give me my Levi 501's, Cowboy Boots and my Harley Jacket and I'm OUT THE DOOR!!!

So it's funny seeing "SALESMEN" giving me the eye before pushing some ROOKIEto HELP ME!!

It's always a kick to the dicks who wouldn't help when I buy something PRICEY!! Whether it's a vehicle, TV, Computerwhatever!!

I hate the bull**** negotiation part. I used to like it but now I don't want to waste the time. Give me your best price and if it is good enough I'll buy, if not I'll move on. I have pulled that one salespeople myself Bob. On weekends it's jeans, T-shirtand cowboy boots. I have been so ignored in expensive places but it does add to the fun when you say I'll take it and whip out the old AMEX.

At least if you let her buy it she can'y blame you if it turns out not to be exactly what she thought it was later.

I am the same way, best price up front, if its not in the ball park, i'm out. I can go to another dealer in the time it takes to haggle on the price. I'm am also t-shirt and jeans when I shop, usually go for best financing with shortest terms. Unless I can get 0% financing, I'll probably drop 10k on the downpayment plus the trade. I am sure I am going to get ripped a new one on the trade in. 02 Ford Expedition, loaded, 109k miles. KBB says 7k but dealer will probably offer me 5k. That will **** me off cause I knowdealer will try to sell it for 9k on the lot or at least get 7 at auction.

They don't just make money on the sale, they usually want to make it on the trade in to which means you get screwed twice. I usually don't trade in my cars for that reason even though the trade in I got on the H2 was about what I thought the truck was worth so I let the dealership have it.

Ok spent all day, did I say all day, no really all day yesterday looking at cars blowing off salesman. Wow that was fun. So we got home at 10:30 last night and guess what, no new car yet.

The decision has come down between two suvs, ACURA MDX and GMC Acadia. Very similar in features, size, ride, etc, and price. Acadia has a little more room and gets about 4 mpgs better than the MDX. The MDX is super nice, has voice command control for all of the features of the car. That is sweet, even the DVD player works on voice commands. The MDX requires premium fuel only, not something the salesman wanted to mention, but I drug it out of him. MDX MSRP is 46k. Acadia is around 45k. On the Acadia, I get an automatic $1,500 rebate because I own another GM product. Whats nice is the dealer with the MDX and the Acadia, sells both products right next door to each other so we can park the cars side by side. Salesman can sell us either so we only have to deal with one guy. uugghhh.
