GM Techline eSI..... two versions of it floating around on the web. One you have to fully install on a Windows XP computer and is for like 1990 through 2005 model. The other someone got working and it has through 2009 but its a VM Ware VM image (also Windows XP).

Because its so big (it covers ALL GM US passenger vehicles) its not something you can just send someone though. The one that goes through 2009 models is over 6GB. Its an awesome resource to have though and worth finding. Its the actual dealership service information system. Evey diagram, connector pinout, troubleshooting steps, repairs procedures, etc. You can optionally go legit and subscribe to it as well. They even have a 3 day access for $20 so if you get that you have to find everything you might want and print to PDF. https://www.acdelcotds.com/acdelco/action/subscribehome

What year is yours? When I'm at the shop tomorrow I'll pull it up and see if I can save out what you might need as a PDF file.

See the attached....

Pages-
1-5 are all of the connector types and pinouts
6-9 are schematics with the non-class 2 amplifier
10-13 are schematics with the class 2 amplifier
14 is a nav schematic.
Hope this helps!

I got to thinking I should double check and sure enough the 2006 diagrams are a little different. 2006 does not show "class 2 versus non-class 2" amplifiers. I've attached the docs for a 2006 this time.

One thing I did not catch before - GM calls the tweeters "twiddlers".... LOL

There are some weird things with how these are setup that sometimes require different programming in the stereo. On my 2003, mine has the 9 speaker Bose setup with the larger amplifier but did not have nav. It had the 6 disc stereo. I removed that to install the Kenwood and used the Metra GMOS Onstar Interface along with the Metra SWC-1 steering wheel control interface. While the first one says Onstar I have actually totally removed the Onstar from mine but that Metra interface was still needed to retain and use the factory lux amp. Works great...

Here is where it gets funky though. One of my shops vehicles is a 2004 Trailblazer. It came with nav but the screen is toast. So I figured I'd stick the original 6 disc stereo from my H2 into the Trailblazer (its just used around town so no real need for the nav in it anyways). No problem, installs and plugs right in but its VIN locked. I do have a Tech 2 so connected that up and turns out I had to reprogram the stereo for it to work in the Trailblazer. In the programming I had to choose between 2 different speaker RPO codes (they are on the glovebox lid and tell the programming what type of amp is installed). So an OEM stereo (at least some of them) can be (really must be) programmed to work with the particular type of factory amp installed. I'm thinking this could be what you are encountering. If you are using a factory radio but changing the type of amp then you might have to get the radio programmed to work with it. That might also require some trickery in the GM TIS programming too... on the Trailblazer I had to choose a Japan market option as the US market options ONLY allowed me to select the NAV setup. Once I selected the Japan market setup I was able to choose the 6 disc and the speaker RPO code to be programmed into the stereo.

Mix hit the nail on the head, there seems to be no reason how specific rigs were set up in regards to the audio systems. Mine is a LUX, I confirmed multiple times by running ALL my RPO codes. I originally had the 6-disk but wanted the factory touch screen. I bought a LUX touch screen, installed it, and took it to the dealer to have it linked to the rig. All said and done, no sound at all. If I remember correctly mine did not have the LUX amp but every RPO code for LUX items. Luckily another member had done the exact opposite so we needed each other's radios. We just swapped and it was up and running in no time after linking to the rig at the dealership again.

I ordered the Tech2 I have from here.... GM TECH2
Works great! I did go with the lit that includes the original style full case. That does make storing it when not in use very nice. Also includes a disc with the TIS2000 software and a USB security key for that. This is the specific kit I bought Newest Vetronix Tech2 Diagnostic Scanner Working for GM/SAAB/OPEL/SUZUKI/ISUZU \

For our H2's the TIS2000 software these come with is as current as its going to get as far as software updates for the various computer modules.
