you can control the music either way, trough the ipod or through the factory radio. it works great. It even has a fast forward and rewind feature as well as all the other ipod features such as play lists, random by album, full random etc..

I called the iSimple people and they confirmed that the ISGM575 model (new model for the one listed previously) works with the IPhone 4 and also with monsoon. On the product page, it says it does not, but that was for other GM vehicles like the pontiac sunfire.

Just ordered from Sonic Electronix (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...e+ISGM575.html) for $119 with free shipping.

I will let everyone know how it works after install.

Dunno yet. I have to see how long the cables are to see where I can mount it. My optimal locations would be inside the armrest console or with a cable coming out somewhere from the dash to a mount of some sort where I can plug the phone into. I will take a few pics of the installation to share. From what I heard from the company rep, it works with iphone 4, works with monsoon, has the ability to control through the radio, charges the phone, etc, it sounds really good. I am curious to see how it handles phone calls and cable disconnects/reconnects (does it pick up from the last song played etc). I will report all of this probably next weekend after I get it and install it.

David, yes, keep us up to date if it indeed works. I'm a little leery of trying it when it says it doesn't work with monsoon...

Heard a rumor, 85_305 is running for Mayor of HUMMERville...

In a more related note to the thread, can anyone confirm the isimple ISGM575 will work with the stock NAV unit?

Oh you sure heard right my friend! Vote me and I'll bring the HUMMER lineup back fresher than ever! Factory 35's, no torsion bar options, factory snorkels, and better factory water proofing are what I'm pushing!
