Default Two questions for a newbie!

I just purchased a 2006 Hummer H3 and am wondering...

1) Is there a way I can connect my iPod to the stereo so I can listed to my music without the use of a FM Modulator? How expensive is this part? How difficult is it to install? Anyone have directions how to install one?

2) My rear bumper does not have a cutout for a trailer hitch. Does this mean my Hummer cannot tow trailers? Is the radiator and transmission cooler smaller? Is there a way to install a hitch without the big bar hanging under the rear bumper? How about the wires? I looked under the bumper and near the license plate light and couldn't find any wires for a electrical plug.

Helpppp!

there is a device out there that u can install to hook a ipod up but u need to have a band button on your radio. cant think of what there called right now but some 1 will come along with it also very easy to install just a plug n play and possibly a wire to power it, now for the trailer issue. 2 ways u can go. first is more expensive and don't recommend which is go to the dealer and they will say u have to buy a new bumper with the cut out and then get a hitch which i have no idea what they will charge. 2nd is buy a hitch that is made for the h3 and there is no need for any modification to your bumper and think they are called hide away hitch and it is a quick install with no drilling required and u use the 4 bolts u have on the h3. as to wiring i have not verified this but have heard if u follow the wire's going to the license plate and if u look inside the wire loom they are tucked in there. o think the hitch starts around $179.99 and u have to add s/h and tax

Thanks for the info Lucky!

Does anyone know where I can get this iPod hook up?

Also, I couldn't locate the trailer wire hook up. Do all H3's have this and I am missing it?

One last question....does anyone know where I can get a plate to cover the area where my rear tire mounts on the rear door? I am going to remove my tire and bracket but don't know what to cover the area with???

Thanks!

I got my ipod hook up at Circuit City - they are gone now, but I'm sure either Best Buy or the Apple Store will have them. Probably a good chance at WalMart, Target, Sears, and Radio Shack too.

i was told the wire is located in the wire loom, did u check inside the wire loom cause some one else on the forum said when he added a hitch that there was wire allready there and it was in the wire loom going to the plate, let us no if it's there. i never checked cause i have not added a hitch but if i do i will be looking.
