They stole my H2 :(
Thanks man. I appreciate it.
It kind of brings me to my next question... the only thing that drove me nuts in my 07 was the interior rattles, squeaks and creaks. They were bad. Especially in the heat. I couldn't rest my arm anywhere without loud creaks... It was almost embarrassing at times.
If I do go for another H2, I'd like to get an 08. Were these interior issues solved with the redesigned interior? Can any 08 owners weigh in?
Thanks a lot

I have an 08 with 30 000km on it after 3 years, and I have no squeks or rattles on mine at all. It has also never been off road, that may make a difference. All the surfaces are soft touch as well.
I'm in Canada too, I do notice when it is very cold outside, there is something that rattles, it sounds like it is coming from the roof rail near the back.

Well, Chesh I was going to say the same thing but I figured I wouldn't being politics into it (you know how that can get), but I feel exactly as you do. I just got my 08' about 4-5 months ago & I had an 03' for 7-8 years & I can tell you the interiors are like Nite & Day, 100% better in the 08' (the seats even ride & feel so much better). Here's the pic of my Hybrid decal!
To add to this, I also have an '08..if you plan to go up I don't think you would regret it. My interior is very solid, no creaks you are speaking of. Most guys don't like it because it takes away from the ruggedness of it, but it's a huge improvement over the old interior IMO.
Thanks guys! It sounds like the 08-09 interior are solid. That is what I'm looking for. I like the look of the refined interior! I think I may go for an 09 if I can find one...
I'll let you know how it all pans out. It'll take some time... waiting for insurance and all

I hear what you're saying. Well, it seems the consensus is the 08 - 09 is a more solid truck in general, especially the interior. That's a good thing. I think my best bet is to get out and check out a few different 08's and 09's and poke around the interior.
Thanks everyone.
p.s. I know no one is going to want to hear this but I had the chance to check out a new Escalade and it was quite nice. Before anyone judges me, I don't off road. I bought the H2 because I loved it as a truck...

No criticism on the Escalade--those things are damn nice. My wife wanted me to look into those instead of the H2 when we got the deuce.
Since we were in no position to buy a brand new Escalade, I tried pretty hard to find a good, clean, low mileage model to no avail. There was no way I could get the tri-fecta on that--good, clean & low miles. What I did find was that people who could afford them generally did not care about taking care of them and they were thrashed or really high miles. Yuck.
We managed to get the deuce with pretty low miles, great price, and very much like new.

GUys no one said anything about alarms ... It may prevent to get it stolen ... First thing before buying a nice rims set and spending $800 for the spear tire .
Buy the best alarm you can afford or can not .
Mine has a viper/clifford with the two way control , double siren , back up battery , movement sensor , proximity sensor , knock sensor , Also I lock the hood from behind . Even at public parking no one can get closer ( I dont want anyone 2 FT closer to my baby )
Also there is a new one which change the code everytime you use it so not scan can detect it .
I did spend $985 just in the alarm system but I sleep well
Not it is not going to stop a good thief but it may just get him to think if it is worth it
Ohhh BTW mine had same interior problem , just open the sunroof and it goes away like magic

I'm driving myself crazy shopping around. I haven't been able to find many quality 2009 - 2009 H2's in my area. Does anyone have experience importing a truck from the US into Canada? I have no idea what goes into this but I'm curious if it is doable. The states have some wicked deals on, what seem to be, quality H2's and Escalades. I'm starting to lean towards the H2 again. I just love it so much.
The only thing holding me back on deciding on another H2 is that they don't make it anymore... I didn't care about this when I bought my first one because I just wanted it lol. Is this something that I should legitimately consider?
I never ran into big problems with my 2007 but how hard is it to get parts for the H2? How hard will it be in 5 years? It just scares me to think that I may need parts at some point, cosmetic or not and GM will have nothing for me... Or they will be on back order for months and months. Whereas the Escalade isn't going anywhere, as far as I know... So getting parts and service would be much easier.
I need some advice.
