Ultras are the same as any regular OEM bulb replacement. Both High and Low beam. I don't know anything about the other.

Ok. I got a deal on the Philips Crystal Vision Ultra froman Ebay seller. Got the 9008 and 9005 both for $35 with free shipping. I will try those first.

If I don't like the Crystal Visions, I have a $50 gift card to Autozone, so that will cover the Silverstar Ultras 9008. The 9005s I can get on Ebay for around $26.

I will take pictures and provide feedback when I receive the bulbs and install.

I am not really into improving visibility (for that you need HIDs or auxiliary lights). I just dislike the OEM yellowish color

i run zxes in my 2008 alpha. they are much better then stock. i really didnt want to spend $60 on them but the ol lady approved. I was at the local meijer store and grabbed a set of the hook, but noticed the wrapper was jacked up. I set those down and grabbed the next set and to my surprise they had a 90% of clearance tag so i got them for $6. I checked all the other packages and that was the only one of any bulb that had been marked down lol

Just installed the Philips Crystal Vision today. It took me about 20-30 minutes to install both headlights and fog lights. You indeed have to take the orange seals out of the headlights because the Philips already have them installed in the socket. That was the only issue I found. It was easy for me to get to the fog lights from underneath the vehicle. Using both hands I created some room between the wheel well liner and where the bulbs are. No problem at all. You just need a flashlight to see better.

Verdict? As expected, not major visibility improvement vs. stock headlight bulbs. However, I'm happy with the whiter color vs. the yellowish stock bulbs. The biggest improvement are the fog lights - you get more lumen output and better visibility.

Thank you for all your help!!! If you find better bulbs, please let me know.
For visibility, I will install aux lights.
