I run Silver Star Ultras, white light not that blue tinted stuff for our rigs. The zxe says it has a "cobalt blue coating".

I installed the zXe 9008s for the headlights. I struggled for a bit and then I figured out that you have to remove the yellow rubber seal on the headlight housing for the bulbs to fit. Then I tried to install the fog lights. I have to unscrew a screw and pop out two clips on the fender well to be able to reach the fog lights. After about 45 minutes of troubleshooting... The eBay seller sent me a pair of 9006 zXe s instead of 9005s... The 9006s look very similar to the 9140 bulbs that were originally in there. I think I can grind off the smaller fastener lug and make it fit..

Do you have pictures? I found this link online as I could not find any pictures on a H3
Sylvania ZXE Headlights and Fogs. Pics - Focus Fanatics

Again, mixed reviews - especially regarding lifetime. It does not seem to look that "blue" to me.

Hunter8793 - I assume you are happy with the zxe's?

I'm kinda feeling like mehhhh about the whole thing...

The are kinda white... they are definitly not blue or anything like hids...I took a picture last night of it and you can't really tell much difference between the yellowish oem fog lights and the zxe headlights
I just ordered some Phillips 9005 CrystalVision Ultras for my fogs as the ebay seller sent me 9006 zxes instead of 9005 and I couldn't get them to fit... even with grinding down some of the lugs. The new Phillips bulbs should be here this Thursday I'll take a picture with those installed, hopefully they won't melt the lenses...

I have the XZE's, it was defiantly not worth the 60$ I paid for them. They are more yellow then white and they are brighter then stock, but from what I can tell not by much. My Plasma white oracles light up the rode more then these things.

I guess if you are talking about the light output from the headlights then yes. Not perfect. I did have to adjust the headlight and fog light aiming which helped a little bit more.
Referring to the access to the bulb, I went in from behind the fender liner. Maybe there was a better way? The headlights are nice and open.

Yeah, the fog lights are hard to get to with the OEM bumper. With the BA bumper it is very easy.

Thank you guys!!! One last question: Are the upgraded bulbs (Ultras or ZXes) low/high beam compatible? Or do you lose the high beam?
