Interesting discussion.
It depends in part what it could be depending on tire size and if you have cranked your torsion bars up causing more wear on some components.
If it looks like this it's shot and will cause wandering and knocking.
It can be worn and loose but sometimes hard to detect. There are reports of several dealers not being able to detect it.
