Default Supercharged Alpha

New to the forums here. I bought a low mileage 08 Alpha last month and began a few mods. First the hood, then a level, now im onto motor, tranny cooler and gauges. A couple of pics of where im at now.
It goes in for a dyno tune Monday. Not to bad for a supercharger that Magnuson said would not fit.

Awesome.

How's your mpg? Some people have said they actually gained efficiency.

I'm looking forward to your dyno numbers.

I get it tuned in a couple of days, until then I have not been driving it. Most of the other vehicles I have added superchargers to have seen an improvement in MPG if I kept my foot out of it and drove normal.

very exciting! I too found a low mileage alpha just a few months ago. I've added the tranny cooler and had a mild shift kit installed. BIG improvement in performance just from the crisp shifts (The Toy Shop in Pomona CA).

What model charger did you install? Details would be fantastic if you dn't mind sharing. Intercooler? Why did magnason say the kit wouldn't fit? Did you buy a new 'kit' or piece the system together?

Awesome! Looks terrific! I called Magnuson and they told me they don't make this Supercharger anymore. Where did you buy yours?

Thats a long story. I went to order it from Magnuson, they told me they had discontinued it for the Alpha. So I did some checking and found that the kit for the Chevy Colorado would work.
Magnuson told me that the Colorado kit would not fit the Alpha, but I new it would. Magnuson then refused to even sell me the Colorado kit. So I contacted one of their distributors and told them I wanted a kit for a 2009 Chevy Colorado. They sold me the kit. The kit fits perfect, the only thing that needs changed is you need to buy a MAP sensor for a 2009 Colorado since the hole in the manifold is alittle bigger. That will cost about 50 bucks, everything else is the same and all items plug right in. Tuning was a piece of cake, very easy to tune on the dyno. If anyone needs info or help, Im more than happy to help out. The kit took only about 8 hours to install with normal hand tools.
If you order a kit just dont tell them its for a H3, they freak out and will not believe that it works. There is actually less work involved installing it on a H3 than there is installing on a Colorado.
