Wow you spent $5950 on that charger? couldn't you have just dropped a new 6.2 from a Corvette cheaper?

 

I doubt it would be any cheaper.

 

Swapping motors would be a hell of a lot more then 6k unless you do it yourself and then you should factor the labor hrs of super charger install vrs mtr swap. The only down side I see to a blower install is that the pistons in a stock 5.3 aren't happy being 'over' boosted. I can say that as soon as I can afford the kit, it will be on my list.

Has the tunning been done yet? Are you in Ca? FSR motorsports has down many V-8 tunes. Check'em out - GREAT guys!

 

Yes the tuning has been done. I had a very safe tune done, I wasnt looking for max performance. Just wanted more power available when I want it.
I got just what I expected. I also noticed a increase in MPG as long as I drive it normal. Overall I feel its the best mod going for more power, unless you happen to have the parts available for a engine swap. I dont live in CA but we do smog our vehicles here in Reno NV every year, and it passes smog easily.
