Checked mine last night. It opens with about 3-4" exposed. Push it again and it goes back farther with about 1" exposed. Hope that helps.

Dv thanks, yea i got through with dealer today around 0930 and they checked it out and it was good to go, they also did my state inspection to match my purchace date (wel close to it since i bought it last month)and i told them that my H3 did the knock and clunk under the brake/steering assembly and before i finished he said they are aware of it and that a new part was being produced and they would add my name to list and order the new part today. thanks again!!
