Steering and Tunes
I just rented a car that had the bluetooth option for the phone. WOOOOOOW!! Looking to get bluetooth in my 2008 H2. Looks like bluetooth was available in 2009 model only. Does anyone know of I can swap an OEM 2009 Nav radio into a 2008? Also, would like to swap in a 2009 (heated) steering wheel. I know I will need to also swap the 2008 clock spring for a 2009 to make it work, but does anyone know if any other wiring needs to occur?

It works perfectly with my iphone for bluetooth etc, and it also gives me other options for plugging in via USB etc. Have a look at this first. Cost $108 on amazon.com.

I don't have time right now to dig through everything, but here's a thread about the heated steering wheel conversion. This is on my lists to do. It's not extremely straight forward (it's more than just buying the steering wheel, but it seems worth while to do.
Heated steering wheel? - Hummer Forums by Elcova
I've never used the bluetooth in my 2009. Is the quality good?
The bluetooth connection in my previous 2012 ram was horrid. I wouldn't use it.

Synthetickiller, I've seen the post you referenced. TWR mentions that in addition to switching to the 2009 clock spring, he also fabricated a wiring harness. I'm trying to get some more info on the wiring harness. Any ideas what else he may have done to get the heat to work?
As for the 2009 OEM bluetooth, I have no idea what the quality is like. The bluetooth capability I used was in a 2016 Kia (Rental)..

I have a new heated steering wheel for sale. It has a small imperfection on the silver part of the steering wheel if anyone is interested.
I also plan on doing this swap in my '08.
You can get an onstar module from an 09 H2 or comperable car that came equipped with BT and swap it with your existing onstar module. It "may" have to be coded by someone like me with a Tech 2 tool, or a dealer.

yrkdmaxh2, will swapping in an 09 OnStar module allow me to use the mic located above the driver? Also, should I also swap to an 09 Headunit to use Bluetooth? I know there are tons of aftermarket headunits w/ Bluetooth, just not sure if they work with the factory mic that's already there...

As far as I know, at least according to the installer and what I could find, aftermarket headunits will not use the factory mic for bluetooth although Onstar will still use it.. Not a big deal though, you can run the mic to wherever is convenient. Hide it at the top of the A-pillar or do what I had done:
