Default start engine button

Have u ever thought about adding a start engine button to your h3? it sounds cool im currently trying to find out if it s possible to install in a hummer...if it is, im definitely getting it.....im also about to purchase the viper remote start system that allows you to turn on your car from your iphone (if you have one) you can literally turn on your car from anywhere as long as your car is located within phone range...anymore ideas?

I had the push button start in my vette and it was nice! no key just the little fob you keep in your pocket, locks and unlocks automatically as long as your next to your car. Very nice accessorie

I have driven a lot of those systems and find them to be pretty darn cool. Of course we would then have something on common with the Prius :|

I always found those disconcerting - borrowed my mothers car once, I went to check if the car was locked and it was open (since key was in my pocket).

Like the idea of a start button. How do you stop it? Press the button again?

The 2004 - 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SRT-10 had a red push button start. And yes, you would push to stop as well. Didn't have the proximity key like my Vette. Seems like a much safer idea.

I honestly don't remember... didn't own a SRT-10 - just drove one once....

With the Corvette I never took the key out of my pocket.
