I have a 2008 H3. When I turn it off, the speakers come on after the interior lights go off. There is a hissing white noise. The radio is not on. Pressing the break pedal, or turning the light switch from auto to off turns off the speakers for a few moments, but then they come back on. It is draining my battery. Any thoughts on where the problem may be or how to correct it is greatly appreciated.

id pull the amp fuse as a 1st guess. if thats a fix, check the amp..if u have an amp! monsoon with sub woofer?
if reg radio pull its fuse.

 

It is a monsoon system. Pulling the fuse for the amp seemed to fix the problem. However, if I plug the amp fuse back in and pull the fuse for the radio that also seems to fix the problem. Suggestions on how to narrow it down?

 

noise is from radio.
amp supplies all sound,from radio.
check all connections, wiggle them.

 

Do your interior lights go on and off when the door is open and closed?

 

hey i forgot your batt is being drained. i had a stuck cd that caused that, but no other symptoms, no noise.

normal drain is 110 milliamp after about 1 minute of about 1 amp when you connect a meter in batt lead.
