Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack

Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack
Has anyone used these or something similar on their H3? I'm a biker and don't want to go with the roof rack and I don't have a hitch so this would be a good option I think. Just curious if anyone has used one. You remove the tire then it bolts on behind it so it seems very secure.

Yes I have that rack. It fits perfectly on a stock tire and holds two bikes without them hitting anything. They will however extend out to be as wide as the vehicle. Ibought on the internet because the local shops all wanted full retail.

Nice looking bike rack! I use a hitch mounted rack, but it's so heavy/bulky and makes opening the door a problem if you need something out of the backbefore you unload at a race.
So, what's the name of the rack and could you post a link? Thanks!

RE: Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack
I have the exact same one. Doesnt fit adventure tires!!!!!
Had to take it apart and re-drill where the horizontal part meets the vertical tubes to get extra clearance on the top.
You also won't be able to put the center cap back on the spare because the mounting bracket sandwiches between the spare tire and the mount and then sticks through the hub. so you have a 1"x1" black square tube sticking out the middle when you take the bike rack off. Lucky for me, the same day I installed it, I lost a cap on the highway so I only needed 4 instead of 5.

I found the best price at http://www.autoanything.com/bike-racks/69A3106A0A0.aspx
They wanted $142.95 and shipping was free.
