I see a lot of you have the spare tire and hitch mounts. Does anyone have their bike rack on the roof? Any pics using the factory crossbars? Thank You

 

I don't have a roof mounted bike rack. I got tired of buying new racks every time I buy a newer vehicle. I have had to purchase new cross bars and towers on my last two jeeps. The H3 is a little taller than my jeeps and I was not interested in balancing myself on the side rails while trying to put my bicycle in the rack. The other issue was the aerodynamics. I can't imagine what kind of drag I would have with two bicycles on the roof with the shape of the Hummer. I had this mount fabricated to accomodate my Yakima roof mount. The only downfall is that this one only holds one bike. It is a little overkill. It is made of 2" square tubing. I guess it weighs about 35lbs.

The local dealership here has a pretty cool one too. It's hitch mounted and can carry 2 bikes. They even have a hitch mounted bbq pit

 

Check ebay, although I'm sure you have.
