I don't disagree the military wheels are a definite deal when it comes to replacement tires but for me it was just easier to go aftermarket. Finding a reputable machine shop in this state is like finding the holy grail. Hell it even took me a while to find a good powdercoater when I did my U-steps.

If you have the resources for machining then the wheels would be even more appealing I'm sure.

Yes having a good machine shop is like having icing on your cake. Not so good without it

Man I could've powedercoated them for you, but i'm in Pa.
Of course shipping wouldn't be to bad on those.

Yes having everything lined up certainly makes a difference
Like I said I got the wheels with the tires for free with the rubber runflats, so I figure why not

The summer set that I have on the Ultra forged alumium wheels (made by alcoa I heard) only weigh 25 pounds per wheel, but can hold a max load of 3400 lbs. So that plus the 37" BFG Baja tire weighs within the same weight as say a set of 20" Rockstars and a comperable 37" tire.

Now the military H1's when I have them re-centered will weigh in the 54 pound range, plus the heavier Goodyear MT/R tire. Plus i'm not sure if I am going to put the rubber runflats back in, or go with the PVC beadlock. Either way it will be heavy, but solid.
I'm sure I will see the MPG drop when I switch from the summer set to the military H1 set.

I just wants to add that I've been using 2" spacers on my Yukon XL 2500, that I use to pull my 11.500 lbs boat with, for 10 years without a single problem. That includes coast to coast towing. Why some are scared of spacers is beyond me, but to each their own....

A lot of my friends are running spacers on their wheels however they dont drive rigs as big as the H2. I would imagine that spacers on the H2 would be exposed to much more stress than on a regular sized vehicle.

I used to run a 1" spacer on my audi and had zero issues, but I also never offroaded it either.

That's my biggest concern with running them on an H2.

If you go wheeling, and are pivoting on 2 or 3 wheels in stead of all 4 all of that weight is now sitting on an aluminum spacer...
