Source for H1 parts?
I have a customer who wants the 2000 style mirrors on his 96.
I seem to have read the 01 up mirrors can be used with the new wiring harness and if so, I have found the kits.
He also needs all the dash vents for the A/C and a black steering wheel. Also looking for an aftermarket exhaust system.
Thank you,
Gene

Try Tustin Buick GMC | Irvine Buick & GMC dealer in Tustin, CA | New & used car dealership ( 866-362-9967 ) They sell parts to many of the independent Hummer parts places. Sometimes Dave at Hummer Parts Guy | Hummer H1, HMMWV Parts and Accessories finds deals on surplus parts. You can try him at 920-216-6898 if Tustin can't help you.

H1 Mirrors
OK, speaking of mirrors, does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit an H1 with remote-controlled, collapsible mirrors? I won't have a chance of getting my H1 in my garage unless I can collapse them; it would be nice to be able to do it from inside.

Remote Folding Mirrors
OK.
I called Dave, the Hummer Parts Guy, who suggested calling some Jeep parts suppliers, since the bolt patterns are similar. They were unaware of such a thing, and referred me to a Jeep dealership. They were unaware of any model of Jeep that had such a thing. Maybe I could invent one, retire, and spend the rest of my life finding places to take my H1!

2002 Mirrors, again...
OK, folks,
I can't seem to find any remote controlled mirrors for my 2002 H1. At this point, I'll settle for just trying to move them manually. However, I can't get them to budge, even after a few applications of 'Blaster' products. Does anyone know how to disassemble these mirrors so that I can clean the corrosion on these seized mirrors? These have plastic enclosures that have visible seams, but I don't want to use excessive force trying to pry them open, then end up replacing them!
