Side Marker light removal
Has anyone removed the side marker lights? Do you have to go in from under the wheel well? There's a plastic fastener there but I'm not sure if that's the way in. There's some give pulling them out from the outside, but I don't want to tug too much and have to replace them if it breaks.
Yes, you get to them by removing the wheel well liner. What is your end goal? In Europe, we need to have activate side indicators, so I had to add a bulb and tie them to my turn signals. If you buy a European-spec (i.e., a SA produced H3), this is standard already.
When I removed my side maker light lensesto put the clear chrome ones on,i went in from the front. To me it seems a whole lot more easier to remove the grille & headlight housingcause I have more room to work with as oppose to working through the wheel well. Then again I never tried it.

Very easy to go in from the wheel well liner. Just pop the center of the fasteners and pull back about 1/2". At that point the fastener is easily removed from the liner. Once you figure out the first one it'll only take a few minutes to get the rest.
