Thanks Phil. We were just a bit pissed off when we walked inside the second dealership and no one seemed interested in asking us if we had questions. Here we are all cash deal and ready to buy. If just one guy had at least walked up he would have had the deal. They were too busy sitting around dishing about whatever with each other. It was almost like they had no interest in selling the H3.

The first dearlership was helpful and we liked the sales guy. But the hot oil smell after driving it for about 8 miles.... We will probably go back to them after they look at the H3 to see what the issue could be.

I feel more at ease about the leaking issue with the sunroof now.

Wow! I can't beleive the 1st dealer didn't offer to have a service tech look at it right there on the spot!! They must not want to sell very badly....

Exactly my point Diesel. This not only happened at one dealership but with two. My insticts told me that once they knew we wanted the H3 the interest in selling it was not really there.

I don't know if it is a GMC thing or not with regard to the pending sale?

Don't be overly concerned about the moonroof leaking issue. It happened to my H3. If you hadn't already read this, there are 4 drain channels that can get clogged up from debris. How it gets in there, I don't know because I don't park under a tree. The fix is easy by blowing compressed air thru the channel. The moonroof is really nice to have to create a little bit of openess to your vehicle. I have never owned a nicer and bigger moonroof than what comes on the H3. It is definitely worth a little extra $$$.

Good luck with whatever you decide on. The H3 is truly a unique vehicle. There wasn't a day that went by that I didn't smile getting into it when I owned mine.

Guys.....time we wake-up and realize that this 'scared2buy' person is strokin' us! We've heard her entire life history. She's got 23 posts (more than a lot of us that have owned a Hummer for years), and is still afraid to pull the trigger! Apparently she is looking to us to provide an ironclad guarantee that she will NEVER have any problems. This is obviously a purchase that is WAY over her head. Let's end this now, and move on to some new topics that we owners, who love our Hummers unconditionally, can really benefit by!

Broken Halo,

I think she has valid concerns. Dropping $45K on a new vehicle is not chump change to some. We, as Hummer owners, already know what a great vehicle the H3 is. We have provided her with all the answers to her concerns and then some. I agree with you however, and now it's time for Scared2buy to just **** or get off the pot.

I am really offended, Halo, by your remarks. So lord forbid, this will be my 29th and last post to your forum. If this is what you wanted, you got it.

If you read my post up there last Saturday we were going to buy but after driving it for about 8 miles there was a very strong hot oil smell. They told us to come back in a few days.

And I don't think I told my life story.

Like I said, this is really offensive.

Thanks to those that took the time to answer my posts here. I learned a lot from everyone's experiences.

I really wouldnt take to heart what anyone on this forum says about you. its your money ,so i dont blame you for being cautious. plenty here use this forum for there own entertainment or pleasure and are actually clueless when giving advice. its getting now where every new member introduces themselves like this" howdy, just got an 07 H3 and wondering what i need to do to fit 35's" everyone jumps in gives advice and the poster disappears becoming another one hit wonder! Funny, the very first post i ever submitted was wether to go with an alpha or the 5cyl. there must have been over 200 views and not one reply. Like i said, dont take anything here seriously and if you ever purchase an H3, there are other Forums if you have any questions!

Scared2buy, do not let one post push you away or offend you. It is your money and you have every right to be calculating. I have been pursuing an H3T for past 8 months. I backed out of 3 deals thus far. It wasn't right at the time so I backed out. Having owned an H3, I know what kind of a vehicle it is and I am confident that if you understand some of it's limitations from the beginning, then you will not be disappointed if you decide to purchase. I have owned Jeep Wranglers, Ford Explorers, Nissan Frontiers, Toyota 4Runners to name a few and by far, the one SUV that is at the tops of my long list of SUVs is the H3. It is "LIKE NOTHING ELSE." Don't let your one experience get you down. Take your time and buy the vehicle when it's right for you. During the interim, I encourage you to remain a forum member here and to continue to seek advice, opinions, and knowledge on the H3 as needed. If the day comes that you buy an H3, I hope you share the experience with us. Most of us are here for you. Remember it is a public forum, and as such you won't like everything you read on here. Sort thru the crap and take in what's not. Good luck and I hope we continue to hear from you.
