Rotating Tires Poll
I was in the process of rotating my tires today. It takes a long time w/o a lift!
I was thinking about how much I rotated my tires on my original H2 & realized I never did and got 90k miles out of the stock BFG KOs. I only had new tires mounted b/c of the visible cracking (mostly from daily sun damage over 5 years) . They were probably good up to 100k miles or more, especially if the H2 was garaged.
I realize all literature on tires states to rotate every 5k to 8k miles (or whatever the manual/tire manufacturer states), but I'm wondering if this is something people on the forum actually do.
Going through the process of rotating all 4, plus reprogramming & re-inflating each oil change is a lot of time spent, especially if it, say, only gives me 110k miles vs 100k miles otherwise.
What do you guys do?

I rarely rotate my tires which is just plain stupidity on my part. I have rotated my new tires more often than the stockers but that's because the MT's get chewed up must faster on the fronts.
I also had the broken stud issues last time I rotated so that has left a bad taste in my mouth. Something as simple as rotating tires turns into a pretty decent project when studs break and they have to be replaced.

I'm still amazed they lasted so long.
It's a royal pain w/ the 2009. After swapping, you have to reset the TPMS by deflating each tire individually, then refill to the proper PSI. Without a lift, it tedious to say the least. With 2 jacks & an air compressor, it still takes more than an hour to do. It's 15 minutes just to loosen all 32 lugs.
