Default Roof Rack Not Coming Off Need Help

I have a 2005 H2 and I’m trying to the take the factory roof rack off. I’ve never taken it off before, and I’m being trying to unscrew the big plastic bolts off but they aren’t budging. I’m I doing something wrong? Thanks

I had to shoot mine with penetrating oil and kept backing them in and out till they started to budge. but unscrewing them won't remove them it will just let them slide back and forth. on the rear of the rails there is a cover you have to remove to slide them off. I have yet to try remove those they look fragile.

MOVED and Merged. Crazy how all questions about H2s go in the .................................. H2 section.

Not General Hummer Talk and definitely not sights & sounds.

I had to use a big pair of channel lock pliers. Wrap a rag or cardboard around the ****, so you don't mangle it. You don't need to remove the ****. One of mine was jammed, I think the previous owner removed the **** and then crossed threaded it trying to get it back together. Slide to the rear, the little plastic cover at the rear of rail will pop off. Will you be selling the rack? One of my brackets are broken.
