Yes, that is true the "snorkel" part is small from what I have seen in pics. I haven't physically gotton my hands on my H3 long enough to figure that out yet, being I am still here in Iraq. But by keeping the air cooler is the target factor by not sucking the air within the engine compartment. Though generaly that shouldn't be a problem when the resonator box(on the TB)is designed to hold air in order for you not to have thatacceleration stall..

Whew! It's been a while since I've been able to get on here... Been at work a lot.
So.. Got the K&N intake installed and I must say, WOW!

I didn't expect such a dramatic difference. As for performance, I can't really notice anything until about 4000+ revs. It does push the truck from 90-100 much quicker than it did with the stock intake.

The sound is FANTASTIC! When you really get on it, you can hear this beautiful sound that makes the I5 not sound like a vaccuum cleaner taking off.

As for better MPG... doesn't look like it because I'm going to have the hardest time keeping my foot off the floor!

Thanks for yalls input... Really appreciate it!

The K&N intake system I got wasn't just the filter... I actually removed the whole tubing system and the resonator on top of the engine

much louder of a sound

Thats what I like about the True Flow, you keep the stock filter box and change the the rest, less chances of getting crap in your filter or even worst water.
So is it an oiled filter, or foam, or.....? Sorry, a little too lazy to go researching right now.
