Upgrade to some braided line maybe a 50lb test? Tie it to a dumbbell and drop it from about the roof line to the ground I bet it yanks those suckers right off... LOL (Dont actually try this)

 

I have a lot of experience in this area. It's the first thing I do when buying any vehicle, removing all logos and badges.

I have found for initial removal a flat teflon spatula along with heat gun are best way to go. Use Goo-be-gone for residual removal of what is left.

 

And foremost don't let your wife see you using her hair dryer and spatula in the garage!!!
