With the AC off, when I press the recycle air button (center) to turn it on - it seems as if the AC or vents blow cold even though the AC is not lit up (left button). Is this normal and/or can anyone confirm if their H3 does the same? If the AC is off and the recycle is off...it feels like normal air blowing out the vents.

nevermind, did a more detailed search and found out it is max a/c. wtf!!

 

It's normal for most brands, not just Hummer. Likewise, you will also note that recirc shuts itself off after 10 to 15 minutes automatically.

 

no kidding, I haven't noticed that.....

 

And if you press the recirculate button with the fan/HVAC completly off, if will close/block off the ducts to the outside. Helpful if you are going through a large dust cloud and don't want to breathe that crap in or if a skunk graced an area with its presence.
