Does anyone make an AFTERMARKET DOUBLE DIN head unit with an option for rear seat audio (possibly video) to maintain the original rear unit or replace it with an aftermarket?

 

i just put in a ken wood 9980HD and it has dual zone so i can send different audio signals to the rear speakers. The rear audio controls don't work but I can get the same function from the head unit.

I'm using the ken wood 6180 and it does everything you want. I can play a DVD for the kids in the back and. I can listen to the radio up front.

 

That's interesting, so you're thinking of putting an indash unit in the rear for video? I have a roof mount that is independent or runs off the video from my double din Pioneer indash. I like the idea sean has for the dual zone, not that I want to play audio in the front then have movies playing in the back, that would be annoying. I'm just thinking that when I play the video now, it goes through the stereo, but when I get a phone call it mutes everything, it would be cool the let the movie keep playing.

rear seat audio ?? how is the Headrest Car DVD Player or Rear View player ?

 

not bad to listen at all, i love it at all, they are very useful one for us...
