The front bumper is mounted to the frame,The grill and headlamps are mounted to the body. There's normally about a 3/4" gap between the two to allow the frame enough room to flex during off-roading. My guess is that when you landed from your jump, the bumper hit the grill or the carrier behind it that also holds the headlamps and it may have cracked it loose from the body.
I worked for a European brand and we usuallynoticed this type of damage with our trucksonly whenthe auto journalists returned themback into our press fleets!
