Recently purchased a 2006 black H3 Lux, 134,000 kms up here in Ontario Canada.
I have spent the last month surfing through the forum here and have found a lot of valuable answers to questions I had. So far I love the truck but I have some concerns that maybe some other owners can help me out with.

I bought it at a car lot (not dealership) and it did not come with any logs or maintenance paperwork as the lot bought it at auction. I called GM Canada to ask what recalls were done on it, what warranty work was done and to get a bit of the service history on it. Due to the Privacy Laws in Canada, GM Canada was no help at all, quoting the privacy act and would not disclose any service, warranty or recall history to me. She did say there was a file on it, but would not reveal ANY info.

The door jam indicates it's build date as Dec 2005, which indicates it falls under the possible head issue units. Although I have looked under the hood and can tell that the #1 coil is new, everything else looks factory. With head issues known to this year and model, is there a way I can tell if this head has been replaced, markings, stamped codes etc.?

As soon as the weather breaks here in Canada, the mods will begin.
