Default Question on brush guards.

Ive gone through what some have posted on the brush guards they use and such. I found a westin brush guard for pretty good price online. I was wondering does anyone use that brush guard and is it the kind where you have to remove the hooks on the front or does it bolt under them? Also are there any other suggestions on guards. I like how the westin guard has little bars that cross over the headlight itself as some bonus protection.Im looking for that in a guard and im looking for black and trying for a price under 300 bills. Thanks in advance.

Under 300 beans won't leave you too many quality options. I know realwheels has a similiar sounding setup w/ spokes in front of the headlamps. Haven't heard much about the westin guards, but I know their bull bars have been known to crinkle when offroading because of the frame articulation.

You may find someone trying to unload a used OEM black brush guard for around that price. It's not as aggressive looking as the others, but great quality.

I bought an Aries "OEM style" that mounts under the recovery hooks. Had it for a year and a half and no rust yet. Looks 99% like an OEM for much less cost - bought it on ebay for about $275...it was new and came all boxed up and wrapped so the powder coating wouldn't be scratched.

I was skeptical at first, but the installation was really easy. It actually seems to moent firmer than the OEM. The only thing that worried me was the two small brackets that mounted thru the grill slots into the rad support...but no problems with shake at highway speed...if I do get any rust, I'll just have it rhino coated.
