Went on trails today.Climbing on loose dirt and small to medium rocks, small boulders and some ruts.I have no locker and with the way the H3 gets traction(DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME).[sm=shootshoot.gif]MACHINE GUN BABY.I was able 2 make my way down the mountain in neutral.Got an 85 mile tow 2 HUMMER OF PLEASANTON(NORCAL)@7:00 pm service closes and I got there at 7:10[sm=smiley18.gif].They said no loner and I said WTF.The GM comes over says what doing.I told him my story ,he says I got you.He set me up with a red tactical H3.Anyway they have my 2006 yello I-5 with a[sm=shootshoot.gif]FREAKIN machine gun. Will keep you posted on the outcome...

I broke my diff on a dirt road........whole right through the casing!

 

FOLLOW UP-------Took the truck in on sat. as per earlier post.-------Today I went to the dealer to drop off the loaner that the GM gave me on sat.(HE SNATCHED IT FrOM THE SALES LOT LATE SAT. EVE)well-----IT'S THE FRONT DIFFF([sm=shootshoot.gif])Went into service and they had the front diff open[sm=yikesomg.gif].There was a pan of gears .What a mess.The techs said this was the first they have seen and have never heard of this b4.I told them of the DIFFUE suffered by many fello H3ers.They sent me away with a black tactical H3 and a bleeding ulcer because they did not talk 2 GM yet and because of my 35" tires(COULD BE A PROBLEM).-------ANYWAY.4 hrs later I get the call. COVERED. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH MY DEALER AT THIS POINT..[sm=love.gif]AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THIS BROKE ON AN MODERATE TRAIL AND WAS FOLLOWING ONE OF MY BUDS IN A NEW 4 DOOR JEEP AND HE DID'NT BREAK NOTIN.WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU WILL KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG.[sm=violent053.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif][sm=noooo.gif]THIS IS WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE. WHEN WHEELING BE SMART AND WATCH WHEN YOU BTM!!!...

 

ps: There is also a nasty smell along with [sm=violent053.gif][sm=shootshoot.gif]

 

be very careful when you btm in the H3. thats exactly how your diff blew up on you. the H3 is designed for you to use its traction control system rather than btm.
