Default Possible H3 buyer

Hi Everyone,
I`m considering buying a used 2007 H3 Luxury with 18000 miles on it (build date04/25/2007), but after reading about all the mechanical problems (head/valve especially) i`m not so sure!
What do you experts really think of these units?

I have an 07 and have had zero problems. The head problems were on the 06's with the 3.5L. I haven't heard of any real issues with the new engine.

Thanks for your input,
When i was test driving it i noticed a small engine vibration when it was just idling. Is this just normal for the 3.7?

I have never taken notice before but I can post next time I start the truck. Do you plan on going offroad at all?

I have an 07 also and haven't had any problems. Like Bennersj said, the problems were in the 06's. They have fixed that. There have been people that mention a rough idle but I have never really noticed one in mine. I have purposely tried to fell it since reading about it and still don't fell it. But then again I don't know what you are comparing it to.

vibration or coarsness? Does it sound like something is loose or just a rougher sounding engine? The I5 isn't the smoothest engine out there but still, it's a good engine. Can you go to a dealer and try a new I5 for comparison?

Thanks all,
I don`t plan on going off road too much....i want it more for winter safety.
The vibration is not huge...just noticeable whe you touch the engine compartment when at an idle.Perhaps listening to a new one will alleviate my concerns.
