Default GM to Wind Down HUMMER After Unsuccessful Buyer Search

GM announced privately to its dealers this morning via conference call that it would begin the wind-down process of the HUMMER brand

http://www.hummerguy.net/hummer-news...l-buyer-search

I am personally relieved that I managed to get a championship hummer last june and I intend to run this truck for at least 10 years. My biggest fear is that the truck will get totalled in a wreck and I wont be able to replace it.

I personally think that the residual value of excellent condition hummers will now increase as they become less available.

There is no doubt in my mind that my H3 is the very best all around vehicle that I ever owned.

My Alpha lease is expiring in 2 weeks, and I'm buying it outright. It's posts like this, that convince me that I'm making the right move!

I just bought a 2008 H3 with 9,563 miles on it for $25,000... It was a lease turn in and was sitting on the lot for about an hour when I got it. Probably would not have lasted long! I have a'10 Jeep unlimited, and the wife has the'08 H3. We will be keeping both these vehicles for as long as possible. I love my jeep, but have to admit I love driving the H3 down the highway. I know there is a rivalry between H3's and Jeep unlimiteds, but like each of them for what they are. And they look good together the driveway too!
