Patrick...WTF
drag racing games that i have:
ihra drag racing sportsman edition
ihra professional drag racing
ihra drag racing 2
nhra championship drag racing
nhra is probably the best as far as overall quality, but the first of the IHRA games allows you to build your car from the ground up..including the engine and chassis. i think that the problem was that it was WAY to intricate for most gamers, and unless you know how to set up an engine, your car blows the motor as soon as you do your burnout...after that, the next two ihra games were way too "dumbed down".
ill have to hit up a few stores tonight and look for that new drag racing game...this will be the first year since turning 16 where i havent made at least 100 trips down the track since i blew my motor first time out this year...[:@]

Well, 6 months ago, I had never even watched a drag race. Now, my wife and I are hooked on it. She knows I've always wanted to race, and she's actually encouraging me to get into Pro Stock. I told her I don't know a damn thing about engines other then how they work, but I would love to build one. I know it sucks up your money like a black hole on steroids, so that's one reason I never did.
Did you watch last Sunday's race? Does Schumacher EVER loose? I don't think we have seen him loose once this season, maybe on the races we missed. I told my wife the Army is going to dump any amount of money into that team to make them win. She asked me if it was the car or his driving, and I said a little of both in my opinion. I told him the Army does not want to look bad by loosing, so I'm sure they have dumped more into that car then any other team has. Is that a correct assumption you think?
I'll post the pics we have of John and Ashley we took with them a month or so ago. I thought I had them here but I can't find them [:@]
I think I have a pic of us standing next to Ron Capps car. It's here somewhere.
I'm also close to joining the SCCA. We went to the events this year so she can see what it's about, but we dont' have a car yet. I was thinking about the MX5 series but still, no money yet. Maybe next spring. I have to tell you, I never saw the excitment in drag racing, but now I'm hooked on it big time.

just wait until you try bracket racing...dont get me wrong, watching a 6000hp car launch is amazing, but so is the thrill of pulling into the beams at a national event with cameras on you...
if you live near a dragstrip, check their webpage for "regular racing"...if youre not familiar with bracket racing, you can run pretty much anything...i would be interested to see what your hummer would run, and with the bracket setup, you would be competitive with the faster cars in your class.

Route 66 Speedway in Joliet, IL is 15 minutes away from us. That's where we went to seem them. Our first NHRA race for both of us was there and it was pretty damn cool I'll say.
They have racing all the time, and we said we aer going to start going there on the weekends. I'll check it out. I think she'd freak if I ran it, but with the PCM tune I have and a 5-speed, I woudl do better then most I think, H3's that is, but people may laugh and give me strange looks
Oh wait, they do that now

youre right...it would probably run pretty good..do you have any idea of the whp of your rig? and the weight? i cant find a single slip online of what an H3 runs...H2s seem to be in the low 17 second range, stock...
When we ran our Scion xB's last year at the track, we averaged about 15 to 17 depending on mods. I know my H3 is faster then my 5 speed xB was, so I would think it would be a little faster, maybe in that range, but I can't imagine it being slower.
