I noticed the other day that the floor on the passenger side was extremely hot. I see that the exhaust runs right under it, but it was very hot, almost to the point I thought it might harm the interior. I also noticed the floor was wet. I pulled the mat out and let the moisture dry. The moisture hasn't returned but the floor keeps getting very hot. Any thoughts? Normal?

 

Is your heat shield still in place?
