passenger heated seat not working

Just found out that my passenger seat on my 2006 h3 is not working on high or low. Any suggestions shport of going to the dealer?Thanks!

Yes, your seatbelt has to be buckled for it to work.

No the seat belt wasn't fastened. will give it a try in the am. The driver's side works without the belt being fastened so I never thought of that.

I didn't realize it either, drivers side does not need to be buckled, but the passengers side does.

For some strange reason the seatbelt needs to be buckled before it will heat up.

I would imagine it would have to do with making sure someone is actually sitting there. If not then the seat would be on without it being occupied and it would be on for nothing. (except heating up your lunch or laptop!) Where as the driver is always seated there.
