Over Heating!
Hey Guys,
So I have had my H3 since 08 and just recently got all fluids and water pump, spark plugs etc done. Bascially a good tune up.. Now when I am at the fuel pump or sitting still my temp gauges rises up to 3/4 with the truck off. Some times it does it when I am not moving also. I just got it back from the dealership today and they could not find anything wrong or why that it is over heating. So I thought I would ask you guys.

ive thought of this b4.
b4 i give a veh up for service i would have them drive it,check it, and tell them to make a note of anything not right.
now assuming you had none of these problems b4 you should be able to go to whoever did the "tune up" and nail them. they caused it, it seems apparent.
btw,we didnt hear much from you in 2 oops,,4 years. dont like us?

Does "all fluids" include antifreeze? If so, maybe the wrong mixture or something to do with the antifreeze. I don't consider 3/4 on the gauge overheating, maybe running hotter than your use too though. Mine has been running just under 1/2. When you shut it off, the fan stops, so the temp going up is nothing unusual.
lol.. Yea I am very busy!! And just now getting around to writing and posting things. I am going to hopefully get some pictures up here soon.. Thanks guys.. I figured that it was a normal issue. But never hurts to get it checked out. Thanks again!!
The 3/4 mark on the temp gauge is not even close to overheating so you can, ...chill out. .... bada boom....

I have had a 3.5 a 3.7 and now a 5.3 engine in an H3 and they all have run about a needles width below the halfway mark. As Doc said 3/4 is not overheating. What I would be a little concerned about is the change in your temp. gage reading. It may be the new norm. Your could get it read through the OBD II port to give you peace of mind.
Thanks for the other thread DOC!! I am very knowledgeable about cars, trucks, etc.. I used to do body work for 6 years! I just wanted to make sure this is a normal thing. Which now I see that it is.. I thank you all for your support and answers. Also, headed down to my buddies shop for a new set of blisten shocks tomorrow.. Hope my ride will get a little bit more comfier! Only down fall is the 2 hr drive to the shop. But a least I know it is getting done right! Can't tell you how much money I have thrown down the drain letting idiots work on my truck.. Rather take the 2 hr trip than eat up my new rubber! Has anyone upgraded there bumperstops? I am going to put new ones on. Kills me how much my truck nose dives at stop sign/lights!
based on my "never half way"experience id get concerned,in normal use, if it got just above 1/2.
ive never seen it,not once in 3 years of daily driving, yeah, every day.
