Yesterday I noticed the red light on my Onstar mirror turned on. I decided to call Onstar and see what it was. They said my Onstar Antenna had poor reception and that it needed to be serviced at a dealer. Anybody ever had or heard of this? I have liked Onstar for the ability of my wife to call in case of an emergency. We have had it since day 1 and so I have no intention of shutting off the service.

Please let me know if you have heard of this or had this happen to you and what you did about it. Off to wash the Hummer!!!

Maybe that is the problem, power washing around the base of the antennae?
Have you done any work under the dash that might have disturbed the connections at the control unit? Heater core, AC condenser?
Warranty?
I like mine too as I travel alone a lot far from home. I have been in places with no cell phone connection and the Onstar 4 watt package will connect to any available provider.
