Talking OH MY GOSH - I can't believe I bought this...

Just bought a 2006 H3 on Monday. We weren't even looking for one.

A little about myself, I'm a 28, an RN, and I still have my 92 Nissan 300zx (which is up for sale now) from college. It's fun but unreliable and not suitable for a family should we start one, so my husband talked me into looking for another vehicle. I wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee (I thought). We looked at 4 or 5 dealerships; we never could come to an agreement, and I never was thrilled about any of them. I had almost decided to just keep my little Nissan project...

Then I saw this on Saturday...

This is supposed to be MY vehicle but my husband has taken to it. I think I need to "girl it up" somehow to dissuade him. Any ideas would be considered. Ha ha.

I think this is the "lux" model, right? The manual didn't come with it. (I found it online) But the car is clean, the steering wheel smells like "Obsession" cologne...(I'll have to change that). New tires, brakes, everything. No dents. I love this thing. Lacks power but who cares?

Only complaint I have is there seems to be no auxillary jack or bluetooth for my iPhone. I wonder if there's anything I can do for that...(wow, that sounds sooo spoiled, doesn't it?).

Well, just wanted to say hello!

Good looking. I am on my 2nd H3 and still look forward to getting in it and driving every day. Good choice.

Congrats on the H3. We love ours and I am sure you will love yours. Remember the commercial where the husband and wife kept getting up earlier and earlier to get to drive the new car? I think you and your husband just became the next couple to go through that.

Sweeeeet, I say "girl it up" all the way. There's a lot of macho Hummers out there.

Congrats, I also just got my first Hummer about 6 weeks ago. I'm still going outside just to walk around and look at it. I have also caught myself taking the long way home and through the college after work. I got a leveling kit to raise up the nose and get rid of that nose down GM look and then put some 315/75R/16's on her including the spare rack and Dang it looks really good!!! Good luck with girling it up! Not real sure you can do much to such a mean looking muddin machine to make it too purty!

Smile the long way home!

my friend mike showed up in a yellow h3, i kidded him about school kids climbing in when he stopped!

i drove it once, then again,,,i was hooked, at age 67!

i himmed and hawedfor 3 weeks and good old mike said "well tom are you going to wait 10 years (77) to have fun?"

that did it and i got "big red", 07 h3 a week later, and its so true, i cant stay out of it. my grand kids went crazy, my friends said "way to go!"

i drove to penna and it took the hills fine so the power/mileage balance is just right for me. i get 16.5-18 routinely.

and yes i do take the long way

Default arm rest, left

on the trip to penna my left arm felt left out,,a low arm rest had me leaning left ,which is really bad for a right winger!!

so at my brothers we made a crude but verv effective extension for my left elbow. i used double back tape to attach it with limited sucess, but at least im on the level now.

any better ideas would be loved just like my red ride.

gotta go,,,somewhere,, anywhere

bye

tom
