Default Off-roading "lite" question

Does anyone know of any off-roading trails that are more on the scenic side of things than on the extreme side? Kind of like the outer edge trail of the park around Marble Falls.

If you make it down to Big Bend you will find a lot of paved roads that are more like a layer of asphalt over the natural terrain versus your normal state hwy or even rural route road. There are adventures offroad to be had down there, but I cant remember the names of any of the roads anymore. Texas Highways did an article 3 or 4 years back on a scenic adventure around Presidio? That was more caliche and gravel than blacktop but I can't for the life of me remember what is was anymore!

There is an ORV park just NW of Houston that is more trails than rock crawling, has a bit of mud too for fun. You might look into the areas around El Paso as well.
