New stealership charge
Went to my local Chevy dealer for a wheel alignment, asked for the 4 wheel alignment, was reminded that the rear wheels are a solid axle and that it would only need the front done. After I got the bill I looked it over quickly and paid it. After I got home I looked at it again and noticed a $8.99 item. What I had assumed was tax, was an,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,
ENVIRONMENTAL DISPOSAL FEE.................I went back to the dealer and explained that I didn't have an oil, battery or antifreeze change, but a wheel alignment, just a tightening and loosening of nuts with adjustments. I was told it was a fee imposed because the tech had to put on rubber gloves and dispose of them........................What a crock......................

I would be telling them where to stick that fee, gloves are not a required part of servicing a vehicle but a techs personal choice of equipment to use and not provided by the dealer or requiring any special disposal.
If nothing else I would tell them 8 bucks is about right, for the whole box, I want the other 98 that came in the box.
