Hey guys, just got my first H1 and love it! It's a 95 with the 6.5 turbo in it and has a new whipple supercharger on it. It has 2 previous owners and of course they each did a few things to this ride to make it their own so I'm working on a few things of my own but first I want to get everything working properly. I have a few questions I wanted to ask the group

1. The check transmission light comes on when I start it up and the tach doesn't work. After driving it for 10-15 mins, the light goes off and the tach starts working. I took it to a buddies transmission shop but his machine only reads back to 01. He is working on getting a code reader for the 95 but figured I'd throw it in this group and see if anyone had an idea or has had a similar issue. It drives fine and shifts good and I don't notice any difference when the light is on or off so I'm not sure what would cause it.

2. The AC blows cold but no luck on warm air and it won't change from lower vents to upper vents. I'm not crazy about the AC controls in the 95 and wanted to ask if anyone had changed the controls out to something like the 96-00 models have? Would that be a drop in swap or would it require cutting a larger hole in the center? Thoughts?

3. I enjoy listening to music when I'm cruising around so I'm planning to upgrade what's currently in there to a nice touch screen radio that can bluetooth my phone in. Has anyone had an issue adding a small amp behind the radio to help push the speakers? Not sure if it gets to hot behind the radio is why I ask.

4. I'm looking to add a GPS security system but because the Hummer is mainly metal, I'm not sure where to mount the tracking system so it has a clear view up to the sky. For those with onboard GPS, how did you mount yours and what service do you use?

4. I don't recall seeing any major issues with the 95 year models but wanted to ask the group who has experience with them if there is any specific things to be on the lookout for? The only other issue so far that I have is the oil pressure gauge doesn't always work. I'm going to connect an oil pressure testing gauge up to it to see if the gauge is bad and then go from there depending on what I find out.

i actually did talk to that dealership about theirs. The one I got was a lot better deal though and 15k less miles.
