Default New H3 - Just Rocks In Snow!

The H3's just feel great stability and tractionwise in the crappy stuff compared to my many years in Jimmys and Envoys----What a great vehicle! Just feels well balanced.
Coming up on 1 month ownership of and '08 and can't wipe the grin off my face.

Snow is back in Michigan tonight and I actually look forward to it!

I am going on three months, and after one of the Top Ten Snowiest Winters for my area, I am damn glad I bought my H3. My boss finally saw my H3 last Saturday, and commented that I don't have an excuse for not making it to work in the snow anymore. He looked pretty annoyed when I told him I had owned the H3 all winter.

But you're right. It does handle the snow VERY WELL. I put on some better tires (not All-Terrain off-road tires), and that made an even bigger difference. This was definitely the right winter to own a Hummer, at least for me!

Enjoy your new ride!

I have the same problem at work Frank, when nobody else can make it in they expect me to get there:

Go out and enjoy the snow. When it melts go out and enjoy the mud. Take pics of all the fun.

That's why I didn't tell my boss for the last few months about my new vehicle. His office is about three hours away to the south. I did have one day this winter when I was the only one to show up in my office. The office had been closed (8-10" of snow) and no one told me. My boss thought I was a dedicated employee. Heck, I was just having fun in the snow, passing all those Trailblazers and Explorers!

Great pic, by the way. Except for the roof lights and the red H3's, that looks like what I saw for the last three months.

I had owened 3 Envoy's prior to purchasing the Hummer in January. The first snow I got to drive it in it was clearly much better in the snow than the Envoy. I especially noticed when I switched lanes that it didn't yank the wheel out of my hand and skip all over the place. It just crossed the lanes and moved on... great vehicle.

No snow here but the H3 has handled the deep sand, rocks and mud very well.

Next time you getsome nice fresh deep snow, go find a big empty parking lot where you've got lots of room and are in no danger of hitting anything or anyone and try to make your H3 spinout.Try to do some "donuts" and get the feel for what the truck can really do on a slippery surface. I did and I was unable to make my H3 Alpha spinout. Get the truck up to speed and jam the brakes on, feel how the anti-lock bracks work, turn the wheel sharply, try to make the truck spinout. Play around and you'll be amazed at what you Hummer is capable of doing. Besides you'll have a ball.
