I’m buying a 2003 Hummer H2 with approximately 100,000 Miles.

I’m already looking at buying a new engine so I can replace it when needed.

I need your advice.

After 100,000 Miles what is the servicing requirements?

When will i need to replace this engine?

Where can I get a brand new engine and a good rate? What engine can I put in it? Can I put in the new 6.2lt Vortec?

What do you recommend; I don’t want to put in something that is cheap and nasty, which will only cause problems down the track.

100,000 miles does not mean the engine is worn out. These days, 100,000 miles is nothing. If it was properly maintained, with regular oil changes, and you keep up the maintainance with good synthetic oil you should be able to get another 100,000+ miles out of the current engine.

 

Find yourself a dropout6.2 with the tranny out of a newer escalade or hummer.

 

no you dont need a new engine, and if you were to go that route buy an 03 hummer with lower miles if your really worried about it for only a thousand or so more alot cheaper than buying a whole new engine
