I have an 2005 hummer h2 sut. I have the vizualogic dvd system with the bose indash nav system. I saw on here were people were able to play a dvd through the head unit in the dash. First off how can i do this and my second question is it possible to play the sound from the dvd through the speakers. Any help or advice would much appreciated.

I think the only way that might work is if the nav disc comes out and the DVD will go in and play. If the head unit does not have an A/V in on the back, or a clear DVD option somewhere in the menu's I would say its a no go.

With a decent pioneer or kenwood head unit you can watch DVD's and have them play back through the speakers.

 

I was reading that the used factory units sell on ebay for 3-400 hundred. At this point, if we want bluetooth, backup camera and ipod - we have to buy modules for all of them....which adds up pretty quick...not to mention that in order to listen to a cd, the Nav disc has to come out.

Maybe going aftermarket isn't a bad idea.
