hey guys, looking at buying a 08 alpha with 81k miles, i can hear something that sounds like a whinning noise coming from up front, Any ideas?

 

Squeaky belt caused by Alternator misalignment? There is a TSB on this for 08 Alphas.

Bad power steering pump and/or steering box?

 

took it to the chevy dealer today, he said he think's it's wheel bearings on both sides , OMG $1159 to fix it

That's a lot of money for him not to be sure. HE|| its a lot of money even if he is sure. Bring it somewhere else.

 

is there a recall on the steering pump?

figured it out, was front wheel bearings on both sides. got it fixed
