Looking at H's which one to buy
The 08-09 trucks are more desirable due to the 6.2 and 6 speed trans so even if you have much more miles on the 08 you should fetch at least same price as the lower milaged 06. I saw an 08 on ebay with 129k miles and the highest bidder was 34k but found out from seller his reserve was 35k. I get around 12mpg highway and prob 10 in city.
I put 25K miles on my 2009 since I bought it last year. I've made $3k-$4k just because it's so rare.
City driving is a killer! If I only did city driving, I'd regear in a heartbeat. 12mpg highway? How fast are you going? I get 14ish @ 70mph, 16-17 if the wind is behind me or at least not blowing.
I'm running BFG KO2s on 17s. The 35s measure out to 33.5, which pisses off a lot of people. I'd say to get the 37s so you're around stock height (35.5 is what they measure out to). I moved away from 20s b/c of the price & I needed a tire better suited for mud that I could air down a bit more.
I believe the 2008/2009 LUX models came with 20x8.5s. I know for the 2009, the tire size was 305/60r20. That size is not made anymore in anything besides a mud tire. Good Year stopped producing the SR-A tire in this size. It was garbage, so it's nothing to be concerned about. It was an all season tire w/ pretty bad reviews. Michelin makes a highway all-season tire that comes in a 35x12.5r20. If you never planned on offroading & didn't care about the offroad/mud tire look, that might be a good tire for you. I think you should get 70K+ miles out of it. It's a LRR tire, so your mileage should improve. It's also tough as nails, so it should stand up to anything on the highway that might blow out other tires
