Default New to Hummer and looking to buy one

Hi everyone, I'm new here (subsribe couple of days ago) and new to Hummer. I've always loved them but never thought I would be able to afford one so never looked into it.

But things have changed and I'm now looking at buying one. So far, I got 3 choices.

A guy that I know is selling his H1 1996, soft top, 86000 miles, the truck is from the states originally and looks super clean. He is asking 32 000$ US. It is the cheapest one of the 3.

Then, there is a 1998 HMC4, gps, back-up cam, 38'' geolander with 17''american eagle rims, 72 000 miles on it. It's a hard top with a half box, 6.5 Turbo Diesel and once more, looks super clean. He is asking 53 000$ US

And last but not least, a 2002 Wagon, looks stock, second owner and had the truck since 2004, always maintained at Hummer authorized dealer with records to show. The truck has 55 000 miles and the asking price is 53 000$.

The truck will be a daily driver for winter and used to go to my camp deep in the woods during summer but I'm home only 7 days every month so won't use it that much for now.

What are the big difference between the 3 trucks, what do you guys think about price and milage? Basically, wich one would you go for after they all passed inspection?

Thanks for the help,

Alex.

Of the three, if all engines are original, only the 02 wont be affected by the #8 cylinder issue, so that's something to consider. The 96 H1 will also have the problematic HVAC.
The 02 will "probably" be the best choice, although the 98, being pre-ABS and having many of the updates, could also be a solid choice.
Make sure you do your research before buying! Lots of things to consider...

Has the HVAC been upgraded in the 96? Has the block been replaced in the 96 or 98? I love 98 models and HMC4s but I would lean toward the 02.

There is only 1 left and it's the soft-top from the guy I know now. He had it for only 2 years so doesńt have that much info on it.

I did my research on internet and from what I could understand and found, the HVAC was changed (there are no AC buttons at the bottom of the console... only the ''wheels'' to adjust temperature).

The engine is the Diesel with no Turbo so and he doesn't know anything about the #8 cylinder.

Likely ok. Most of the suspect motors, but not ll, let go by 30K miles. Not sure if the non turbo engines were even in the suspect casting group.

Non Turbos should be ok, but they are slow...

My 94 6.5 NA will comfortable cruise at 65.
