after having mine for about a month now, i too have had the same thoughts. i dont get the haters, more of the curious people who want to know about it. they are the ones that ask about mpg and stuff.

i always say it gets 8 mpg, which i think is really good for as big as it is. i know trucks that get that and they are half of what my h2 is. i tell them a couple of mods that are done, after that they laugh a bit and decide that 8 is good for having 44s and a lift with a full exhaust.

i am however very afraid of the crazy tree hugger people who would do just about anything to show their hate toward them. i do not want my pride and joy vehicle getting vandalized. i am never away from it too long when in a busy area and carry my concealed weapon in the car with me all the time. i have no intentions of ever needing to use it but its there just in case i need to scare someone off a bit.

i live in an area that has alot of the local people that are redneckish style and like lifted stuff, the vacation people that come up however are from the city and dont always see a cool lifted h2, they see a gas guzzling pig.

my h2 is my luxury car for pleasure of driving and having fun, i dont drive it every day. i drive it once or twice a week to work or after work for a quick ride. at 8 mpg i dont go far with it anyway. i dont like getting it full of bugs, then i have to clean the big tank. hahaha i wheeled it this past week for the first time on some logging roads to just go relax a bit. thats the most i have done with it so far.

mine definitely sticks out, its 8.5 feet tall, sunset orange, has a nice rumble to it, and the tires howl like wolves for a half mile or so before you can see it. theres nothing conspicuous about driving it around. haha

another good one i like to use is how great those prius batteries are for the environment along with all of the coal that gets burned to make the power to charge electric cars.

that is usually my last statement before i walk away and shake my head. i havent needed to pull that out on anyone that was ripping on it though. i have used it in general conversations though.
