LIFTING

RE: LIFTING
You can do the Cognito kit for 2-3" lift in the front and do the rear air ride sensor mod for the back to level it out. Search Elcova for the rear mod and here is the Cognito kit: http://cognitomotorsports.com/store/page36.html

RE: LIFTING
i don't have air suspension, and the "puck" idea doesn't thrill me much. plus, i still have too many miles left on my warranty and so far haven't found a real need for a lift in any of the terrain i've been through. watching a lifted H2 get hung up on a boulder in deer valley and then driving over the same with my stock bus, i figured i'd just keep it the way it is.

I have a Rancho 4" lift on my 2003 H2 and have 136,000 miles on the truck. I have never had a problem with it. Never got hung up on rocks because of the torsion bar mount. In fact I split alot of obstacles that non lifted H2 go around.
The point of a lift is not to add clearance but to have the ability of putting larger tires on so you can get the clearance. My 4" lift clears 40" tires, Stock tires are 35" so I can get 2.5" of clearance by putting on 40's.
IMO 40" and taller tires make the H2 look like a Tonka Toy and are good for show trucks but not wheeling.

Is there a way you can just do 2inches of lift? I dont need or want 4 to 6. I think 2 would be great. I do have the air suspension.
Could Adjusting Torsion Bars and mabe using spacers with the air bags be a solution?
Sorry Dont mean to hi-jack the thread thought this might be usefully for you as well.

Right now, the H2 is not working - in every sense of the word. After reading many posts, looks like I hit the jackpot. Every extra, and the dealer failed me in EVERY way.

My hydraulic lift air suspension (2003 H2) has been nothing but a problem from day 1 and replaced over and over AND over. First time was covered by warranty, but subsequent times it's an over $2k fix. This final time actually drew a crowd around the HUMMER because it looked as if the rear was going to scrape the road.

I did do that, but it's got something else and not running. Frankly, that should have been a HUMMER recall. Dealer has replaced many other things and still hasn't found why it can't get out of the lot. It's absolutely ridiculous.
